I am absolutely in love this manicure. I used Gelish “Forever Beauty” and “Oh What A Knight!” with black Konad Stamping polish, and a bundle monster plate.

It says “Love. Live. Laugh.” the perfect polish mantra for the New Year. We wanted to keep to nude tones but give a slightly different feature to the accent nail, so I suggested we stamp a quote.

I used the bundle monster BM-405 stamping plate

Today I cut my nails and changed the shape for the first time in about a year, now my nails are short and square. Im looking forward to seeing the new nail trends 2015 will bring. What colour polish are you wearing?

Red-y For The Festival is a stunning creamy red from Gelish.
It has a wonderful coverage which makes this bright red stand out.

Although this is classified as a Christmas red I think it will be very popular throughout the year, as it’s what I like to think of as a true red. It’s not to pink or too orange. Its a beautiful sexy red, something to make Santa blush…

Would you keep this colour for the holiday’s or dare to wear it all year round?

After the sheer colour of “Mademoiselle” I decided I needed to apply something brighter… So I choose the lovely “Mint Candy Apple” by Essie. It’s a beautiful fresh green, with a crème pastel finish. Since my nails are really short its something that looks bold but not over the top.

I did find that this colour streaked a little on application (like quite a few pastels tend to) so I did 3 coats of colour. I skipped the topcoat. Basically I’ve run out, and my nails are in a good condition so I get up to 4 days wear even without a topcoat. I know polish always looks much better when topcoat is applied, I am just too busy/lazy to go get another lol.

One thing I like / dislike about Essie is the brushes. They are perfect for application using a 1 stroke technique, however I personally prefer the 3 stroke technique so even though it’s really good for a quick application I find the brush a little tricky. Maybe it just means I need to buy more Essie colours so I can practice more… 😉

I have such a soft spot for Essie’s polishes in general, they are an amazing brand.
Which colours do you own/love?

At first when I looked at this colour in the bottle it didn’t thrill me, just a typical semi transparent milky pink shade of polish…

Oh how wrong I was… This is one of those don’t judge a book by its cover moments.
This colour is stunning. Yes its a milky pink that could pass for wearing almost nothing but thats what makes this polish so amazing. It is a beautiful classic pink which would be perfect combined with french white tip or when worn alone it gives the nails a beautiful neat appearance.

It is a polish for every perfectionist.

Delicate, elegant and simple, I am hooked.

I think I have found my go to nude.
I am wearing two coats of Essie 13 “Mademoiselle” ontop of their whitening treatment and I finished with their instant dry drops. I didn’t add a base coat or a top coat.

Would you wear it?

It’ been a crazy week for brights!

Since next week  Malta Fashion Week starts I was visited by one of my favorite fashionista’s to do her nails, we talked about colours and settled on a combination of white and neon yellow, something fresh and bright and she wanted an accent nail.

I love how this mani turned out! It’s clean and fresh and has that citrus twist.

I used Gelish “Sheek White” and “Coco Cabana Banana“.

I have to admit I love using accent nails to give a pop of colour.
Would you rock these nails?
