Today I stopped by the 3INA makeup store at Pama Shopping Mall, they have a really cool Valentines offer on two looks:

Each look consists of a blush, a red lip colour and an eyeshadow.

Left Valentines look:

  • Red lipgloss
  • Pink powdered eyeshadow
  • Pink powdered blush

Right Valentines look:

  • Red liquid lipstick
  • Nude cream eyeshadow
  • Peach powdered blush

Both looks are very easy to wear. I love the liquid lipstick and nude cream shadow, I have similar from another brand otherwise I would have bough this set. They say you can never have too much makeup but I am trying to not repeat similar purchases. So instead I bought some items that my kit was missing.

I took my time looking over the hundreds of colours they have on display:

The lighting made it a little hard to take photos, but as you can see there are loads of colours and a ton of choices. All for a pretty good price. I could easily spend a fortune as everything looks amazing. The textures are pretty good too. I swatched a few items and they seemed quite pigmented.

Will post a review of what I bought in another post soon.

I am a little addicted to these…
Out of the 17 shades I own 5 and I am tempted to pick up a few more. I really don’t know how I lived so long without these in my life!

They have a cute yet simple packaging. The lids are black and the highly pigmented cream is visible though the tubes. The doe foot applicator makes it very easy to apply the lip cream. The names are listed on the bottom of each tube and each one is named after a city.

Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.” – NYX

I want to call this a lipgloss simply because of the method of application, yet its not glossy. Its got a smooth creamy texture whilst applying and dries into a matte weightless vibrant colour. Once the cream has dried it really stays put, I can wear it for hours, and kiss my partner without fear of leaving a mark.

I wouldn’t call it moisturising, however, I wouldn’t say it leaves the lips looking dry/feeling extremely either. After a full day of wearing I do need to slather on my favourite Elizabeth Arden 8 hr lipbalm to re-hydrate.

L-R: “Milan“, “San Paulo“, “Ibiza“, “Amsterdam“, “Copenhagen“.

The first shades I bought were Amsterdam & San Paulo. I had seen the beautiful red Amsterdam on a few blogs and really loved it, and the San Paulo looked like a good neutral shade not to bright not to nude perfect for everyday. A week later Milan, Ibiza and Copenhagen followed. So far I have used them all apart from the Copenhagen which is just a little bit too dark for my features. Sigh.

Described as:

Milan – Mid toned blue toned pink.
San Paulo – Plummy pink.
Ibiza – Matte deep rose pink.

Amsterdam – Pure red.
Copenhagen – Matte rich plum.

You can see me wearing the Milan here, Amsterdam here.

Well the price is brilliant less than 7 euro a tube! They do however tend to get used up pretty quickly, the Amsterdam has already started to dry out from over use. There is 8ml (0.27 fl oz) in each tube which is actually much more than some of my glosses. I guess that’s the only downfall of the matte quick dry texture.

I am amazed how well they stay in place! The second they get wet though they become like any other lip product and will fade. However for work where I am not eating and drinking for hours at a go, my lips can look as freshly coloured at 4pm as they were at 9am!

I would like to buy a few more of these, if not for myself to keep in my makeup kit. Such as Prague (a matte merlot), Sydney (a soft lavender), Monte Carlo (a deep cranberry red), Istanbul (a clean pink), and Antwerp (a mid toned, yellow toned pink)… I am sure I could add a few more but must resist the urge to buy all the lipsticks!

Have you tried Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream? what colours are your faves? and if not why?! Lady you better rush out and pick up a few from your local store.

Red-y For The Festival is a stunning creamy red from Gelish.
It has a wonderful coverage which makes this bright red stand out.

Although this is classified as a Christmas red I think it will be very popular throughout the year, as it’s what I like to think of as a true red. It’s not to pink or too orange. Its a beautiful sexy red, something to make Santa blush…

Would you keep this colour for the holiday’s or dare to wear it all year round?

This week I bought a few (5) new LCN nail polishes to bulk up my winter collection…
I will post them in a mini haul hopefully in a day or two…
(Along with my 6 new Essie colours)

So I thought id share with you some amazing colours which would look great this season, to maybe inspire you girls to be naughty so I feel better about my impulse splurge. Mwahahaha 😉

What colours have you going crazy?
I’m currently wearing Mavala’s Black Cherry, which is a really beautiful rich vampy tone.

Hey there you beautiful readers, some of you may already know that I recently did not one but TWO Makeup Revolution hauls, which you can read about here and here.
In one of the hauls I bought 9 lipsticks and before you say anything…
Yes I NEEDED all 9!

coloursL-R Top: Lady, Sweetheart, Divine, Dazzle.
L-R Bottom: Dare, Encore, Beloved, Bliss, Flashing.

Some of the textures are extremely glossy or creamy, where as some are more matte and waxy. The matte ones have brilliant staying power but can also feel a little drying on the lips. The colours I chose are the more mainstream shades, which I can use on clients for shoots or bridal. I am very tempted to buy some of the bolder colours in another haul.

I love how they are designed with the colour code on the lid! However, I have to say there is one major flaw, there is no code on the base. When doing makeup bookings I will remove all the lids and then use the colours the client likes the most. When packing up I will be rushed and I can imagine that putting the correct lids on the correct colours to be a little time-consuming. Also the lids are slightly tricky as they wont all stay on.

As I mentioned earlier a couple of the shades are very waxy in texture, this is a bit drying and have quite a strange feeling. However they last much longer so that’s a positive which I think outweighs the negative. I think if your lips are very dry the addition of a balm or a swipe of gloss would be necessary. The more glossy textures are really lovely to wear and they have an okay staying power. They all have a wonderful fresh coconut scent which makes me love them even more!

From L-R: Bliss, Divine, Sweetheart, Beloved, Encore, Flashing, Dazzle, Lady, Dare.

As you can see I bought a range of peaches and corals, pinks and a couple of reds. I wanted to show you what the colour transfer is like, so I used a piece of white paper to blot the colours. I really like the range of shades I bought but I think I need more nudes.

The photo on the left is with natural light, and the photo on the right with flash. Can you see how the shimmer in Encore shows under the flash. It was really hard to pick up on camera. You can also see how the matte colours really didn’t want to come off from my lips, where as the glossy ones are very easy to smudge and transfer.

The price I paid was 1 pound each, which is brilliant value and I think I will get a lot of use from them. For the price I really can’t complain and the quality is pretty good, I have been wearing “Lady” most of today and I got some really nice compliments, it also matched perfectly with one of my GOSH lipliners.

How soon untill I can buy more? I think I am becoming addicted.
The colours are very close to the ones on the photos from the site, so you don’t have to worry about shades not being how you expected them to look (one of my biggest worries when shopping online).

I saw some photos of the blusher palettes and they are soo on my wishlist. I am really impressed by this brand. They are cheap and quality for the price is excellent. I hope to write-up some more post’s soon on some of the other Makeup Revolution products I bought… Lets just say I am IN LOVE with one particular highlighter.
