A few weeks back I did a shoot with an amazing team for PavliMagazine issue 5.

I am so happy that the issue was launched. You should definitely check it out on Magcloud.com .

There are some really interesting articles, one from fellow bloggers All Things Fabulous. There is an interview with an awesome new photographer, and of course a trend article written by me. Today I will share with you the pictures from one of the two shoots I have featured.

I am in love with the pictures. There is more  “behind the scenes” and on the magazine. I want to say a big thank you to all the team, the models are so talented and a pleasure to work with. Clinton is a master hairstylist and of course the effort from photographer’s Karl and David. But the biggest thank you goes to Pavli for all the hard work organising the Magazine.

Pink vs Blue

I love both colours and some times its hard to make up my mind to which one I prefer the most…

as soon as I saw this bold pop of colour I knew I had to buy it.

A bold mix of neon blue and bright pink giving the exact contrast that I have been looking for… I wear black for work so I was really craving a statement piece. What’s better than a coloured handbag?

What I really love is the size of this bag! Perfect to fit in my laptop and diary (and anything else that needs to be carried) whilst not feeling too big. I also fell in love with the inside as it is a mix of pink leather and grey patterned silk. What is unusual is that instead of opening from the top with a zip you have a clasp at the front and unlock from there.

I bought it from a small family run shop in Sliema called Mixa’s. Situated on the piazza Saint Anna, they sell tons of cool accessories ranging from scarf’s to phone covers. When you’re next in Sliema check them out I am sure you will be impressed.

Wish List – Makeup I want & need. 30/3/13

This is my current cosmetic wish list…

wishlist 300313 (1)

  1. This is the brand new mascara from Clinique called High Impact Extreme. I have always been a fan of Cliniques mascaras and even though I tend to change brands I always go back to them. I am currently using one by Gosh (which I was given as a free gift with purchase) It’s good for everyday use but for the evening I prefer much more volume.
  2. This is a product which I am obsessed with at the moment Givenchy  Le Rouge Lipstick 204. I had tried this product for the first time a few weeks ago when it was launched and I absolutely fell in love with it. My review can be read here…
  3. This is the only product on my list which is not available in Malta. I came across it while searching and reviewing products online, its by a brand called Young Blood and is made from minerals. The product is a Gel Liner and comes in four shimmery shades and three creme textures. I will have to check this out more online and find a way to get it. This beautiful shade “Lagoon” is to die for.
  4. This is the only bronzer I will wear! I bought my first Guerlain Terracotta bronzer a few years ago and I adore the range (I am converted). Last summer I bought one whilst travelling and stupidly told the sales assistant the colour I wanted and didn’t check the product. When I got home I realised it was the Mono colour (not the one I wanted). I still have a lot left even though I use it everyday. The multi tonal “Brunettes” is my favourite because the shades are perfectly matched to my skintone. As soon as mine is finished I will be going back to my bronzed love.
  5. This is another product from Guerlain on my wish list called L’or I love this base for the radiance it gives, packed with 24k gold flakes it is a luxury must have item. This is also extremely hydrating as the gold flakes are suspended in a gel to give the skin moisture.
  6. This is new BB Cream on the market by Clarins I have tried the texture on my hands and its really smooth with a nice light coverage. In summer months I love to go lighter during the day and I think this is one of the perfect products to do that with.

What would you put on your list?

mani otd #07 : Velvet by Mavala

Today I was given this absolutely beautiful nude dusky rose colour from Mavala. It is the perfect shade when looking for something soft and ultra feminine. The last two weeks I haven’t really worn a colour on my nails. I had buffed them to a high shine and let them breathe. This colour suits my mellow mood and is irresistible.

I used my favourite Mavala base (002) and finished with colorfix you can read more about Mavala products here.

Also I bought a new shade to add to my Gelish collection from the “love in bloom” spring collection called “sweet honey dew”. As the shades was similar to the colours I already had on the shelves I chose a pastel coral. This is a fantastic summer shade and sure to be popular with my existing clientèle.

The mini’s dont come in Malta so the bottle I bought was full sized and I stole this picture from the internet to show the colour. I think that against the typical tanned olive Maltese skin this colour will be stunning. The collection is very pretty but with so many shades similar to the colours I have I really had to resist the urge to buy them all…

Le Soleil D’or – Sundays Shoot

With Karl Cutajar, PavliStyle, Clinton Chetcuti and three stunning models from SO MANAGEMENT

The inspiration:

pureThe latest influx of achromatic styles are a breath of fresh air. I was inspired by fresh crisp whites by DKNY combined with fluid textures. I felt like I needed to shoot something that was pure and equally fresh.

I spoke to Pavli and we immediately started planning on how to make it work. It was her idea to use three models and that we should use each to represent a different kind of woman. With regards to make up I wanted to keep them feeling soft fresh and feminine while still emphasising each girls different personality and attitude. Each girl was styled differently yet we kept a uniformed appearance.

Clinton did a wonderful job on hair also adding to the personality and style of each girls unique personality.

Karl has just released a short fashion video for the shoot…
